Overview
SmartCal is designed to help households manage schedules, reminders, tasks, and planning information. We aim to keep your information handling simple and minimal.
At this time, SmartCal primarily stores your app data on your device.
Information SmartCal Processes
SmartCal may process the following categories of information you enter into the app:
- Household member names and roles
- Calendar events and scheduling details
- Tasks, reminders, and notes
- Category and planning information
- Subscription status information related to in-app purchases
How Your Information Is Used
SmartCal uses your information to:
- Display your household schedule and planning data
- Save and organize the content you create in the app
- Power reminders and local notifications you choose to enable
- Determine whether premium subscription features are active
- Restore in-app purchases when requested
Data Storage
SmartCal currently stores app content locally on your device using Apple on-device storage technologies.
Subscription-related status, such as the active subscription product and recent entitlement state, may also be cached locally on your device to improve the app experience.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, SmartCal may request permission to send local notifications on your device.
These notifications are generated from reminder data you create in the app. SmartCal does not need to send your reminder content to a third-party notification provider to schedule local device notifications.
In-App Purchases
SmartCal offers auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple’s in-app purchase system.
Subscription purchase, renewal, and restoration are handled through Apple StoreKit services. SmartCal may access subscription entitlement and transaction status information provided by Apple in order to unlock premium features and restore purchases.
Please review Apple’s privacy materials for information about how Apple handles payment and transaction data.
Data Sharing
SmartCal does not sell your personal information.
Based on the current app implementation, SmartCal does not include third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking technology.
SmartCal may rely on Apple platform services required for app functionality, such as:
- StoreKit for in-app purchases
- UserNotifications for local reminders
Tracking
SmartCal does not currently use App Tracking Transparency or track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
Children’s Privacy
SmartCal is intended for household planning use. If you enter information relating to children or family members, that information is stored as part of your app content for your own household planning purposes.
Please avoid entering sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your own use of the app.
Data Retention
Data you enter into SmartCal remains on your device until you delete it, remove the app, or otherwise clear the app’s data.
Locally cached subscription state may remain on device until it is refreshed, replaced, or removed with the app’s data.
